Planning worksheets


A successful BMC Application Diagnostics deployment requires planning of the installation environment. To plan your BMC Application Diagnostics deployment architecture, read all of the topics in Deployment-architecture and then complete the following deployment architecture planning worksheets to help you collect the required information.

BMC Application Diagnostics Server information

The BMC Application Diagnostics Portal must be installed and running before installing the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent. Ensure that you have the following BMC Application Diagnostics Portal information which you will be required to enter during Agent installation:

Default BMC Application Diagnostics Portal ports

The following are the default Portal ports assigned to the three security modes. If these ports are unavailable on your system, you will need to identify alternate available ports.

The following are the default Collector ports assigned to the three security modes. If these ports are unavailable on your system, you will need to identify alternate available ports.

Database Worksheet

A MySQL Server 5.5 database is required for BMC Application Diagnostics Portal and Collector installation. You will need the following information during installation and configuration:

The MySQL Server 5.5 database must be installed locally on the BMC Application Diagnostics Portal or Collector host. You cannot connect to a remote database.
