Modifying an Agent policy file

This section describes how you can modify parameters in the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent policy file.

Note

Changing any of the parameters in the policy files can have a sizable impact on the footprint of the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent and the BMC Application Diagnostics Collector’s scalability and database size. BMC recommends consulting with BMC Application Diagnostics support before changing any of the parameter values.

Tip

If a lock icon ico_lock_readonly.png is displayed as a file attribute, you can create a copy of the file for editing.

  1. From the arrow menu at the upper-right corner of the pane, select Save As.
  2. Rename the policy and modify according to your requirements.
