Compatibility with Previous Versions

This section describes the backward compatibility of AppSight 7.7.0.0 and how to upgrade.

Backward Compatibility

AppSight 7.7.0.0 should support the following scenarios:

• Opening Logs from versions 6.0, 6.04, 7.0, 7.1, 7.5, 7.5.01, 7.5.02, 7.6
• Applying an old RPR (from 6.0, 6.04, 7.0, 7.1, 7.5, 7.5.01, 7.5.02, 7.6) to a standalone 7.7 Black Box
• Connecting an old Black Box (from 6.0, 6.04, 7.0, 7.1, 7.5, 7.5.01, 7.5.02, 7.6) to a 7.7 AppSight Server
• Applying an old RPR (from 6.0, 6.04, 7.0, 7.1, 7.5, 7.5.01, 7.5.02, 7.6) via a 7.7 AppSight Server to Black Box
• Applying a 7.7 RPR via 7.7 AppSight Server to Black Boxes from 7.0, 7.1, 7.5, 7.5.01, 7.5.02, 7.6
• Saving a 7.7 RPR to 6.0, 7.0, 7.1, 7.5, 7.6

Upgrade

AppSight 7.7.0.0 installers support upgrading from the previous versions of AppSight (7.6/7.5/7.5.01/7.5.02 and 7.1) for all components, including the Test Recorder and Tester Server.
