Deleting alerts


You can delete alerts from the Alert List in the Operations tab by selecting the required alert, and clicking the button above the Alert List pane.

You can also use the <Delete> key. To confirm, click Yes in the BMC AppSight confirmation message.

You can delete an alert and remove it permanently from the Recording Profile. You can also disable an alert and not delete from the Recording Profile.

To delete an alert:

  1. In the Alerts Lists, select the alert you wish to delete, and click the Delete button above the Alerts List. A confirmation message is displayed.
  2. Click OK to confirm. The alert is removed.
  3. Then click OK to close the Operations tab and then save the Recording Profile.

To delete an alert from the current recording:

  1. During a recording session, right-click the application in the Black Box pane and select the Recording Profile option from the shortcut menu.
  2. In the Alert List of the Operations tab, select the alert and click the Delete alert button above Alert List. A confirmation message is displayed.
  3. Click OK to confirm. The alert is removed from the Alert List (and the Recording Profile).
  4. Then click OK to close the Recording Profile dialog box.
     The deleted alert is only removed from the current recording of the selected application. 

    Warning

    Note

    If you delete an alert from a Recording Profile, and save or rename the Recording Profile, the alert is deleted permanently.


    Defining alerts for code-level recording of functions and modules in the BMC AppSight Code console works on a similar basis to alerts defined in the AppSight System console-both being an integral part of the Recording Profile.
