Setting the Recording Profile properties
The Recording Profile properties determine what will be recorded, in addition to applications and operations. Such properties include:
- User & Resource Properties - controls the way the visual log is recorded, whether to record configurations and at what intervals to record performance. See Recording User and Resource information.
- Attachments - sets the rcording profile to attach external files, such as application log and configuration, to the Black Box record logs. See Adding attachments to the recorded log
- General - sets parameters for a standalone mode and follows transactions and alerts addressees that are invoked during the recordings. See Setting General parameters.
- Attaching - allows the attaching of applications and processes to the recordings. See Adding (attaching) applications and processes.
- Security - allows for encrypting and protecting the recorded log file. See Setting Security parameters.
- Do Not Record Exceptions - refrains from recording exceptions and modules thrown by the .NET framework. Setting Exceptions to be Ignored and Setting Modules to be Ignored.
In addition, you can use the Predefined Recording Profiles (see Predefined Recording Profiles) that are already set to capture specific types of problems.
