Transferring and saving data considerations

When recording applications, consider the amount of recorded information that will suffice for meaningful analysis of the problem to take place.

By default, the memory buffer of a Black Box is configured to accumulate up to 10 MB of recording data before the data starts overwriting itself.

You can change the memory buffer size for a Black Box in standalone mode using the Black Box Properties option from the File menu.

The Black Box recording can be saved to an .ASL extension file at any time during recording.

You can save, and where necessary, re-name a log file at any stage during an active Black Box recording session.
