Editing *.ISS files
Before launching the installation, the ISS file can be edited in order to customize the dialog responses for the installation.
For the Customer Information dialog (SdCustomerInfo Dialog):
- szName =User Name, for example, as displayed in "Help=>About"
- szCompany =Company Name, for example, as displayed in "Help=>About"
For the SdAskDestPath Dialog:
- szDir =Full path of required installation directory
In addition, each ISS file may include additional editable options, depending on the available dialogs in that setup:
In the Test Recorder and Test Recorder Editor ISS files:
- The dialog AskYesNo-1 will appear in upgrade situations only. The Result= option under this dialog, determines if the new product installation will use the installation settings that were used in the old product (Result=1) or if it will use the new settings, provided in the ISS file (Result=0).
- Sel-0= under the dialog AskOptions-0 will determine if the application is added to the Startup (Sel-0=1) or not (Sel-0-0).
- szEdit1= and szEdit2= under the dialog SdShowDlgEdit2-0 are used to specify the Repository Server Name and the Repository Port, respectively.
