Installing BMC AppSight Web Support

This section describes how to install BMC AppSight Web Support.

Note

This guide assumes that the root folder of the Web server is located in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\. If the root folder is located in a different place, use that location every time the folder c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ is mentioned.

To install the BMC AppSight Web Support:

  1. Navigate to the directory where the install files are located and double-click on AppSight Web Support.exe.  A Question window will pop up asking you if IIS can be restarted during setup.
  2. Click Yes to continue with the installation or click No to exit the installation.  The Installation Welcome screen is displayed after clicking Yes.
  3. Click Next.  The License Agreement screen is displayed
  4. Click Yes to accept the License Acreement.  The Select Website screen is displayed
  5. If there is only one website configured on the IIS machine then this will be greyed out.  If there are multiple websites configured on the machine the drop down can be clicked to select the correct website.  After selecting the correct website click Install.
  6. The setup process is then started.
  7. The Finish screen is displayed.
  8. Click Finish.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
