Adding a description for the AppSight Server and Black Boxes

AppSight Server and Black Boxes receive their names from the computers they are installed on. These names may be long and difficult to read by the BMC AppSight user. Adding a description will help the users identify them more easily.

Note that names for non Service Black Boxes are comprised of the machine name plus the user who logs in during the current session.

To add a description to the AppSight Server:

1. Right-click a Server from the Black Box pane and select Set AppSight Server Description from the popup menu.
2. Add a description. The description is added next to the Black Box's name.

To rename a recording Session:

1. Right-click a Session and select Rename Session from the popup menu.
2. Add a description. The description replaces the Session's time-stamp.
    Note that the tmp prefix and the status suffix remain part of the Session's name.
