Starting with basic problem analysis

Analyze user problems by viewing the Visual Log. As the Visual Log displays a visual recording of the user's actions, it allows for tracking the erroneous action. In addition, the Visual Log helps in locating operations and problems within the log file.

To analyze a user's problem:

  1. Open the log.
  2. Play the Visual Log. See Playing the Visual Log for further information.
  3. Follow GUI Operations by either:
    • Playing the Visual log with the Jump to Next GUI Operation button.
    • Filtering the log to display only GUI Operations and then walk through the log.
  4. Identify the problem.
  5. Rewind the Visual Log if necessary and play again.
