Playing the Visual Log
The Visual Log allows you to playback the recording as it is viewed on screen. Part of GUI-involved analysis scenarios, the visual recording matches the log as it is displayed in the Log pane, allowing for comparison between GUI operations as they appear to the user, and other operations that are recorded by BMC AppSight Black Box.
Playing the Visual Log includes:
- Starting to play (see below)
- Setting Visual Log options
To start playing the Visual Log:
- Open the log by selecting File => Open BMC AppSight Log from the main menu. The log appears on the Black Box pane.
- Open the Visual Log pane by selecting View => Panes => Visual Log.
- Select the log. The Visual Log starts playing.
To control the Visual Log:
The Visual Log's controls are available on the toolbar.
