Deploy BMC Helix IT Operations Management

The Deployment Manager can install multiple applications along with the necessary services and data lake required for their operation. You can choose to install applications individually or in combination, based on your business requirements and license entitlements. To proceed with the installation, you must make the appropriate selections in infra.config and deployment.config files, and then run the Deployment Manager.

The following table lists the parameters that you must set to deploy the BMC Helix ITOM applications: 

Component

Description

BMC Helix Operations Management

To deploy BMC Helix Operations Management, set the following service flags to yes in the deployment.config file:

  • MONITOR
  • (Optional) HELIX_DASHBOARD_SERVICES

BMC Helix Continuous Optimization

To deploy BMC Helix Continuous Optimization, set the following service flags to yes in the deployment.config file:

  • OPTIMIZE
  • (Optional) HELIX_DASHBOARD_SERVICES

BMC Helix AIOps

To deploy BMC Helix AIOps, set the following service flags to yes in the deployment.config file:

  • AIOPS_SERVICES
  • (Optional) HELIX_DASHBOARD_SERVICES

You can also use BMC Helix Vulnerability Resolver as part of AIOps. To use Vulnerability Resolver, make sure that you have BMC Helix Automation Console and BMC Helix AIOps deployed on your environment.

BMC HelixGPT

To deploy BMC HelixGPT, set the following service flags to yes in the deployment.config file:

  • AIOPS_GPT
  • AIOPS_SERVICES

Important: To deploy BMC HelixGPT, make sure that you have first deployed BMC Helix AIOps, BMC Helix Operations Management, and BMC Helix Service Management in the CORE mode. BMC Helix Log Analytics

To deploy BMC Helix Log Analytics, set the LOG_ANALYTICS_SERVICES flag to yes in the deployment.config file.

BMC Helix Developer Tools

To deploy BMC Helix Developer Tools, set the LOG_ANALYTICS_SERVICES flag to yes in the deployment.config file.

BMC Helix Intelligent Automation​​​​

To deploy BMC Helix Intelligent Automation, set the following service flags to yes in the deployment.config file:

  • INTELLIGENT_AUTOMATION
  • (Optional) HELIX_DASHBOARD_SERVICES
BMC Helix Automation Console

To deploy BMC Helix Automation Console (BHAC), set the following service flag to yes in the deployment.config file:

AUTOMATION_CONSOLE

Note: Integration of BHAC with the Helix Dashboards is not supported.

BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations

To deploy BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations, set the following service flag to yes in the deployment.config file:

SWP_INTELLIGENT_INTEGRATIONS

BMC Helix ITOM deploys only the following BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations services:

  • hii-tenant service
  • swp-service-registration-utility
  • swp-prereqs service
  • hii-gateway-proxy

These services offer the following capabilities:

  • Assign the II Admin role to allow users to manage BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations connectors and configurations without requiring tenant administrator credentials, improving security and operational flexibility.
  • Improve the reliability for BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations gateway deployments by implementing high-availability configurations with a gateway proxy.
