Changing the default password


After activating the BMC Helix account, you must change the default password to ensure account security.
If the SMTP service is unavailable or not configured, users cannot use the Forgot Password option to reset their password. In such cases, the administrator must manually change the password from the BMC Helix SSO console.

To change the default password

  1. Log in to the BMC Helix SSO admin console.
  2. Navigate to Tenant page and select the tenant.

  1. Navigate to Local User page, select the user and click Change Password.

  1. In the New Password and Confirm Password fields, enter the password, and click Change Password.
