Using BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations


BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations uses REST APIs and Webhook mechanisms to communicate with a data source and provide an easy-to-use click-and-connect capability to configure an integration. They provide data collection and consumption from the integrated solutions. BMC Helix Discovery customers can use BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations to bring in resource information, topology, and services from third-party data sources.  

BMC Helix Discovery users can use BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations as part of their license entitlement.

  • If you access BMC Helix Discovery through BMC Helix Portal, you will be able to access BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations without any further action.
  • If you access BMC Helix Discovery directly, we recommend you raise a service request.

Using BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations

BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations are optional. You do not need to use them. However, if you do choose to use BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations to discover assets, the totals do count against your BMC Helix Discovery asset usage. See BMC-Helix-Discovery-service for more information.

To view data from BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations

  1. From the main menu, select Explore > Data.
    The Data page opens. 
  2. From the Miscellaneous section, click Import Records.
    If there is more than one record, a list is displayed, from which you can select a record to view. If there is only one Import Record, it is displayed. For example:
