Product Content TKU 2021-Sep-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2021-Sep-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08 and 21.05 series.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following feature were updated or introduced in Product Content 2021-Sep-1: 

  1. CLOUD/AZURE: we now discover Azure Storage Accounts. For details, see (DRDC1-16869).
  2. HOST: Improved Linux Platform Script ("getDirectoryListing"). For details, see (DRDC1-17171).
  3. NETWORK: Corelight AP3000 series sensor is now supported via REST API. For details, see (DRDC1-13899).
  4. DATABASE: Teradata max port number has been increased in the Taxonomy. For details, see (DRDC1-17266).
  5. NETWORK CMDB Sync: we have enhanced the CMDB Sync for Network Device Access Point . for details see (DRDC1-17270).

Defects

  1. HOST: AIX ECA error RuleError on rule link_host_remote_to_exported due to: Error in action filesystems.fsLinkRemoteToExported -- TypeError: expected str, bytes or os.PathLike object, not NoneType. For details, see (DRDC1-17283).
  2. CLOUD/AWS: Fix error in AWS.ElastiCache.ListTagsForResource request. For details, see (DRDC1-16708).
  3. HOST: Linux getHostInfo script uses bash specific '==' tests. For details, see (DRUD1-33518).
  4. CMDB Sync. we have fixed a bug with for the maximum expiry date of the TLS certificates. for details see (DRDC1-17282).
