Product Content TKU 2021-Oct-1


Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2021-Oct-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08, 21.05 and 21.3 series.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following feature were updated or introduced in Product Content 2021-Oct-1: 

  1. CREDENTIAL VAULT: Add support for HashiCorp Credential Vault. For details please, see (DRUD1-33251) or the documentation here.
  2. CLOUD/AWS: Inventory pattern for Amazon DocumentDB. For more details, see (DRDC1-17038).
  3. CLOUD/AWS: Inventory pattern for AWS Backup services. For more details, see (DRDC1-16919).
  4. CLOUD/GCP: Added new Google Cloud Regions. For more details, see (DRDC1-17425).
  5. SOFTWARE: Provided support for Apache Cassandra JDBC driver. For more details, see (DRDC1-17460).

Defects

The following defects were fixed in Product Content 2021-Oct-1: 

  1. CLOUD/Azure: Azure API scan destroys inferred Microsoft Cluster on Azure hosted Hosts. For more details, see (DRDC1-17296).
  2. CLOUD/AWS: AWS API Gateway - now properly manages the limit from the API. For more details, see (DRDC1-17434).
  3. CLOUD/AWS/UI: We now have the correct label in the AWS Credential Access Key field: "secret" instead of "password". 
  4. CONSOLIDATOR UI: Fixes for AWS credentials becoming invalid. For mode details, see (DRUD1-34146).
  1. HOST: Run lshw on Linux to get hardware details (reported for PowerPC). For more details, see (DRDC1-17392).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2021-Oct-1.

Model changes

There are no model changes in Product Content 2021-Oct-1.
