Product Content TKU 2021-Jul-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2021-Jul-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08 and 21.05 series.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.


For TKU July 2021 support for default Teradata JDBC driver was added. Teradata is also now available in default Database credential list in UI. (DRDC1-17011)

Feature updates

The following feature were updated or introduced in Product Content 2021-Jul-1: 

  1. Cloud/Azure: new supported region: "WEST US 3". For details, see (DRDC1-17091).
  2. Cloud/Azure: added "Location" to Azure resource groups. For details, see (DRDC1-16876).
  3. Cloud/Azure: Added product version to SI Microsoft Azure SQL Server. For details, see (DRDC1-16809).
  4. Cloud/AWS: AWS Lambda functions are now discovered as cloud resources. For details, see (DRDC1-16879).
  5. Cloud/GCP: support of Google Cloud Operations "Logging" service. For details, see (DRDC1-16258).
  6. Storage: added internal Heuristic to support Dell EMC XTremIO via REST APIs (see DRDC1-13988 and for details DRDC1-14640).
  7. TKU: a default Teradata JDBC driver was added to Discovery UI (DRDC1-17011).
  8. OS classifier: Added support of CA Identity Suite Virtual Appliance. For details see (DRDC1-16990)

Defects

  1. Host Discovery: added a fix for sysfs_hba linux host script not valid for some shells. For details, see (DRUD1-32652).
  2. Cloud/Azure: added a fix for the ECA Error ocurring while scanning the Azure subscription. For details, see (DRDC1-17024).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2021-Jul-1.

Model changes

There are no model changes in Product Content 2021-Jul-1.
