Product Content TKU 2021-Apr-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2021-Apr-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 11.3, 12.0 and 20.08. series.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following feature were updated or introduced in Product Content 2021-Apr-1: 

  1. Cloud/AWS: AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store cloud inventory pattern. For details, see (DRDC1-16232), AWS-Systems-Manager-Parameter-Store.
  2. EMC ECS credentials have been added to the UI to enhance the EMC ECS Portal. For details, see (DRDC1-16639), EMC-Elastic-Cloud-Storage-Portal.
  3. OS identification "SUSE Linux Enterprise High Performance Computing 15 SP2". For details. see (DRDC1-16676), OS-Product-Life-Cycle-Patterns-Extended-Data-Pack-2021-April-1.

Defects

The following additional defects were resolved in Product Content 2021-Apr-1: 

  1. Inconsistent attributes "state" and "status" for Azure and AWS cloud. For details, see (DRDC1-16348), Discovering-Microsoft-Azure, Discovering-Amazon-Web-Services.
  1. Riverbed device heuristic issue. For details, see (DRDC1-16686). 
  2. EMC Unisphere for RecoverPoint heuristics issue. For details, see (DRDC1-16659), EMC-Unisphere.
  1. Wrong RAM value obtained from dmidecode after fix for DRUD1-17180. For details, see (DRUD1-31692). 

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2021-Apr-1.

Model changes
