Product Content TKU 2020-Sep-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2020-Sep-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 11.2, 11.3 and 12.0 series:

Product content updates require appliance restart

When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

New features and enhancements

This release brings two new products to Discovery Cloud products: Azure Data Factory and Azure Key Vault with an ability to scale-out serverless data integration and data transformation.

CMDB Sync mapping updates

Updates for the Configuration Items (CI) attributes. Attribute 'primary_capability' has been changed to the 'CDM_Capability_Type.Management_Controller' value for LDOM Control hosts.

Other defects

The following additional defects were resolved in Product Content 2020-Sep-1: 

  1. Microsoft Azure: ECA errors during Microsoft Azure discovery. (DRDC1-15688).
  2. Microsoft Azure: Fixed len() for object type 'NoneType' when scanning azure on 11.2.x. (DRDC1-15715).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2020-Sep-1.

Model changes

  • Taxonomy expression has been updated to support the VDOM technology on the FortiGate firewalls (DRDC1-15166).
