Product Content TKU 2019-Jan-3

BMC Discovery Technology Knowledge Update 2019-Jan-3 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 11.3 and 11.2 series:

Product content updates require appliance restart

When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

  • Added Discovery Condition for the case when ESXi 6.5 Blade host running inside an Enclosure and reports the serial number of this Enclosure. (DRDC1-12251)

Other defects

The following additional defects were resolved in Product Content 2019-Jan-3:

  • Powershell should be a generic command for CSI generation. (DRUD1-22922)
  • Credentials page shows wrong SNMPV3 Security Level. (DRUD1-24325)
  • HardwareContainer to HardwareContainer not shown in visualizations. (DRUD1-23437)
  • Load Balancer CMDB sync error. (DRDC1-12445)
  • F5 physical and virtual relation not sync to CMDB. (DRDC1-12428)
  • Stack members that are Fabric Extenders are synchronized as type "switch" in the CMDB. (DRDC1-12263)
  • When you put a Deployment node into a BAI, it is not handled correctly. (DRUD1-24520)

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2019-Jan-3.

Model changes

  • Taxonomy was updated to support new Avi Networks Load Balancer. (DRDC1-11415)
  • Taxonomy was updated to support  relationships between virtual DiskDrives and Virtual Machines (DRDC1-10522)
  • Cloud Load Balancer name was changed from "LoadbalancerName:Port" to "LoadbalancerName on Port". (DRDC1-11389)
