Product Content TKU 2018-Oct-1

BMC Discovery Technology Knowledge Update 2018-Oct-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 11.3 and 11.2 series:

Product content updates require appliance restart

When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

Added support for AWS RDS Database Instance with engine type - Oracle-se. (DRDC1-11869)
Added support for Microsoft Azure China Regions. (DRDC1-10940)
Support for tape drives and frames within IBM TS3500 tape libraries is introduced for October release. (DRDC1-10138)
Discovery of Microsoft Scheduled Tasks and Cron Jobs is now supported.(DRDC1-11390)
Now Microsoft Azure tags are displayed in Discovery. (DRDC1-12106, DRDC1-11551)

Changes to discovery commands

No changes have been made to the discovery commands in this TKU release.

Model changes

The following changes have been made to the taxonomy:

New relationship is introduced between Physical and Virtual Citrix NetScaler (Model: SDX 11515) for current release. (DRDC1-11897)
AWS DynamoDB Table is now modeled as Database node kind. (DRDC1-11852)
Now Software Container Dependency link has been changed from Software Component to Detail. (DRDC1-11799)
