QM001783491 | Oracle Database Server | Oracle RDBMS extended database discovery pattern updated to introduce a limiting mechanism for schema and tablespace retrieval to prevent Atrium Discovery running out of resources when discovering Oracle RDBMS installations with large number of schemas. Schema retreival limit is user defined. Alternatively, users can also configure a global option to stop retrieval of Oracle schema information. Retrieval of tablespace information is governed by a global option to either allow or stop retrieval of this data | N/A | |

Defects Resolved
The following defects have been fixed in BMC Atrium Discovery Technology Knowledge Update 2013-Mar-1
Case No | Defect No | Details | Product Page |
---|---|---|---|
ISS04067809 | QM001778938 | Problem: FLEXnet Software Instance key is incorrect leading to multiple SIs merging into one and not all relevant license file Detail nodes being linked to the resultant SI Solution: Code fix. SI key (and therefore model) creation code updated to handle multiple invocations of FLEXnet Publisher that are managing different vendor daemons but running from the same installation location | |
ISS04089152 | QM001782746 | Problem: VMware pattern does not create a relationship between the VM Software Instances and the virtual hosts if these virtual hosts are running Solaris OS due to the serial number format being different to that expected Solution: Code fix. | |
ISS04090587 | QM001783168 | Problem: The version for the IBM WebSphere Application Server cannot be discovered on some Windows hosts Solution: Code fix. File versioning method improved | |
ISS04087194 | QM001784141 | Problem: BMC BladeLogic Server Automation Application Server pattern will in cases where the installation path contains spaces fail to create an SI due to incorrect parsing of the installation path Solution: Code fix. | |
ISS04067958 | QM001784636 | Problem: Hardware Reference Data for HP Proliant DL380p Gen 8 is incorrect Solution: HRD updated with correct values | |
ISS04092734 | QM001785154 | Problem: Solaris LDOM pattern does not correctly remove relationships between Control and Guest domains, if the Guest domain moves to another host - relationship now exists to two Control domains Solution: Code fix. Solaris LDOM pattern updated with code that manages better Control - Guest domain relationship maintenance | |
- | #TKU-1783 | Pattern updated to no longer create an explicit dependency relationship between IBM InfoSphere Warehouse SI and IBM WebSphere Application Server SI as the relationship is implicit, and the pattern cannot always determine which WebSphere App Server instance the relationship should be attached to (there can be more than one WebSphere Application Server instances running from the same installation path, but only one is likely to have InfoSphere Warehouse running as an application within it) | |
- | #TKU-1785 | Problem: The way the AirWatch Cloud Messaging Cluster is being modelled is incorrect as this is an application cluster for which the Atrium Discovery Cluster node cannot be used in the current data model Solution: Code fix. AirWatch Cloud Messaging Cluster is now modelled as a 2nd order SI which represents the application cluster | |
- | #TKU-1787 | Embarcadero Change Manager pattern updated, making the code that attempts to obtain installation path more flexible | |
- | #TKU-1788 | Problem: Oracle Database Server pattern can in certain cases incorrectly populate the 'listen_tcp_sockets' attribute which can lead to extended database discovery failing Solution: Code fix. Parsing of listening IP/port information improved. | |
- | #TKU-1797 | Problem: IBM InfoSphere Guardium Data Redaction Server pattern can in certain cases exit with an ECA Engine error Solution: Code fix. |
