Enhanced Pattern Modules
RFE ref. | Product | Enhancement | SI Key Change | Product Page |
---|---|---|---|---|
QM001784728 | Solaris Logical Domains | Pattern updated with methods to attempt to create a relationship between the Control Domain and Guest Domain from the direction of the Guest Domain, as well as providing a user configurable option to search for Guest Domain by hostname | N | |
QM001784797 | Hardware Reference Data | Hardware Reference Data for Oracle (Sun) Netra T4 systems added to our Extended Data Pack based on customer feedback | N/A | |

QM001785200 | Oracle MySQL Server | MySQL Server pattern enhanced through addition of a method to obtain configuration information through file parsing on UNIX platforms in preference to running a command. Furthermore, registry versioning was improved and finally, SI key was simplified for cases where path to the data directory was not found | Y | |
QM001786879 | Oracle VM VirtualBox | Pattern updated to set the SI type based on the version of the product as the vendor and product name changed over time. | N | |
QM001786967 | Red Hat JBoss Application Server | Red Hat JBoss Application Server pattern extended with additional regular expressions to obtain installation path and therefore required information to enable extended J2EE discovery | N | |
QM001787050 | Oracle Coherence | Pattern updated with an improved SI key which is based on the installation path | Y | |
QM001787687 | Hardware Reference Data | Hardware Reference Data added to our Extended Data Pack based on customer feedback | N/A | |
- | Oracle GoldenGate | Oracle GoldenGate pattern module was enhanced by adding support for discovery of the product running on the Microsoft Windows platform | N | |

#TKU-1789 | CA Wily Introscope | CA Wily Introscope Agent pattern slightly updated to ensure the searches it performs continue to work | N | |
#TKU-1794 | Solaris Zone Container | Pattern enhanced with addition of attributes to store brand and IP type data | N | Sun Solaris Zone Container |
#TKU-1768 | Mutiple patterns | Patterns that perform extended J2EE discovery for Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic Server and IBM WebSphere Application Server enhanced with addition of new attributes to the SoftwareComponent nodes that are created to enable easier modeling of software products that these SoftwareComponent nodes correspond to | N/A |
Defects Resolved
The following defects have been fixed in BMC Atrium Discovery Technology Knowledge Update 2013-Apr-1
Case No | Defect No | Details | Product Page |
---|---|---|---|
ISS04092830 | QM001779491 | Problem: When scanning a branded Solaris Zone running Solaris 8 or 9, the Solaris Zone pattern does not set the 'virtual' flag for the host Solution: Pattern updated to parse output of 'uname -a' comand and if a string 'Generic_Virtual' is found the host has its 'virtual' attribute set to 'true' | |
ISS04110144 | QM001786505 | Problem: Oracle GlassFish Server pattern fails to obtain certain configuration information required for extended discovery when scanning newer versions of the product Solution: Code fix | |
ISS04109520 | QM001786951 | Problem: IBM FileNet Fax pattern can fail with an ECA Engine error in a circumstance where WMI versioning appears to succeed but version information is not obtained Solution: Code fix | |
