Viewing a load balancer group


A load balancer group in BMC Discovery represents a group of connected load balancers. You can view a load balancer group from a Load Balancer Instance page.

To view the load balancer group

Open the load balancer instance page:

  1. From the main menu, select Explore > Data.
    The Infrastructure page opens.
  2. In the Network & Printers section, click Load Balancer Instances.
  3. Select a load balancer instance from the list.
  4. Click the Failover group link.

The following screen illustrates  typical example of a discovered load balancer group.

The information fields for a discovered load balancer group are arranged in the following groups:

Field name

Details

Name

The name of the load balancer group; for example, F5 BIG-IP Group of lon-vm-f5bigip.tideway.com, lon-vm-f5bigip-2.tideway.com and 1 more.

Type

The type of the load balancer group; for example, F5 BIG-IP Group.

Failover type

Type of failover the load balancer group uses; for example, Active-Standby, Active-Active, Service Clustering.

Load Balancers

The list of links to load balancer instances that are a part of the group. To see the load balancer instance page, click the corresponding link. For more information, see Viewing load balancer instance.

To view the Load Balancers in failover pairs or clusters report

To find the load balancer instances that are configured to be a part of the failover group:

  1. From the main menu, select Explore > Data.
    The Infrastructure page opens.
  2. In the Network & Printers section, click Load Balancer Instances.
  3. In the Load Balancer Reports section, click Load Balancers in failover pairs or clusters.
  4. Select a load balancer group from the list.
