tw_check_cores

The tw_check_cores utility checks for new core files in the $TIDEWAY/cores directory. If a new core file is found, it is analyzed and the results are written to a text file. The core file is then compressed to save space.

The utility writes a log file named tw_check_cores.log.<date> in the $TIDEWAY/log directory, and the compressed core file and analysis file to the $TIDEWAY/cores directory.

The utility can be run on demand, though in practice this is not necessary as it is run periodically. There are no command line arguments. To use the utility, type the following command:

tw_check_cores
