CloudManagementGroup node

A CloudManagementGroup node represents an instance of an administrative or organization group of resources, for example an Organizational Unit (OU) in AWS and Microsoft Azure, and an Organization in Google Cloud Platform. They are created and removed by patterns.

The following section describes the scenarios in which a CloudManagementGroup node is created or removed. CloudManagementGroup nodes are never updated.

CloudManagementGroup node lifecycle

The following section describes the scenarios in which a CloudManagementGroup node is created or removed.

Creation

A CloudManagementGroup node is created when an organizational grouping is discovered in the cloud.

Removal

A CloudManagementGroup node is removed if its parent CloudService node is removed.

To remove a CloudManagementGroup node manually, select it in the list and pick Destroy from the Actions list.

If you remove a CloudManagementGroup node, then its contained nodes are removed. For more information, see Cascade Removal.

CloudManagementGroup node
