The following enhancements are available in this release of BMC Discovery:

  • Discover Google Compute Engine hosts running in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) by using Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) and Identity and Access Management (IAM), without a direct SSH connection.
  • Enhanced mainframe discovery includes discovering and modeling of observed communication between mainframe and distributed components.
  • Intelligent discovery of cloud services by region.
  • Miscellaneous enhancements, such as support for namespaces in HashiCorp Vault Enterprise, new TPL function to discover TLS certificate data, and so on.

You can upgrade to version 22.1 (12.4) from versions 12.0 (20.02) or later. We expect upgrades from 11.3 to also work, but they have not undergone the same level of detailed validation. For information about supported upgrade versions, see Upgrading.
