Viewing disk drives


The total number of disk drives associated with a storage entity is displayed on the Storage System page. The following is a typical example of the Disk Drive page:

The Disk Drive page may display the following:

Field name

Details

Name

The name of the disk drive.

Type

The type of the disk drive.

Speed

The speed of the disk drive in RPM.

Size

The size of the disk drive in bytes.

Vendor

The disk drive vendor; for example, Seagate.

Model

The disk drive model; for example, STE45085.

Serial Number

The disk drive serial number.

Role

The role of the disk; for example, raid.

Current State

The current state of the disk drive; for example, OK.

Virtual

A flag stating whether the disk is virtual.

Storage System

The name of the storage device. It is a link to the corresponding Storage System page.

Host

Host containing this disk.

File Systems

File systems using this disk.

Physical Disks

Physical disk for this virtual disk.

Virtual Disks

Virtual disks using this physical disk.

Physical Volumes

Physical storage volume for this virtual disk.
