Administrative collection


An administrative collection object in BMC Discovery represents a group of items that are administered together and dealt with as a group. For example, a Microsoft Azure Resource group.

To view an administrative collection

  1. From the main menu, select Explore > Data.
  2.  In the Cloud & Container Orchestration section, click Administrative Collections.
  3. Select an administrative collection from the list.
    The details of the administrative collection that you selected are displayed in a new page, as displayed in the following screenshot.

    The information fields for a typical administrative collection are described in the following table:

    Field name

    Details

    Name

    Name of this administrative collection.

    Type

    Type of administrative collection. For example, Microsoft Azure Resource Group, or AWS Private Cloud.

    Trigger Count

    Trigger count

    Cloud Service

    Cloud service that this administrative collection is part of.

    Software Instances

    Software instances that are part of this administrative collection.

    Virtual Machines

    The virtual machines that are part of this administrative collection.

    Load balancers

    The load balancers that are part of this administrative collection.

    Storage volumes

    The storage volumes that this administrative collection is using.

    Members

    Other collections that are also part of this collection.

    Maintaining Pattern

    The pattern that maintains this administrative collection.
