Viewing a software cluster
Self-clustering software is modeled using a Software Cluster node, which acts as a logical container for the Software Instances (SIs) representing the software running on individual hosts.
All software cluster objects are set up automatically by the BMC Discovery process.
To view a software cluster
- From the main menu, select Explore > Data.
- In the Software & Databases section, click Software Clusters.
- Select a software cluster from the list.
The following screenshot displays details of the selected software cluster.
The information fields for a typical cluster are described in the following table:
Field name | Details |
---|---|
Name | Name of this cluster. |
Type | Type of cluster, for example, BMC Discovery Cluster. |
Full Version | The full version of the cluster. For example, 12.3.0.2.842202.centos7.ga. |
Product Version | The product version of the cluster. For example, 12.3. |
Cluster Identifier | A unique identifier for the cluster. |
Clustered Software Instances | A list of SIs providing the cluster service which link to those SI pages. |
Contained Software Instances | Pages of the Software Instances running in this cluster. |
Maintaining Pattern | The pattern that maintains this software cluster. |
