Oracle Application Server - Change History

2009

TKU February 2009

Updated the pattern to prevent duplication of the oc4j_instance attribute.

TKU March 2009

The following improvements were made:

  • Re-worked modeling of the Oracle Application Server (which is a collection of Oracle OC4J (J2EE Container) instances), so that it is now divided into two patterns:
    • The first-order SI pattern for Oracle Application Server OC4J instance serves as a building block.
    • The second-order Oracle Application Server pattern.
  • Added code to ensure all optional additional attributes are displayed in the Software Instance upon their population.

TKU July 2009

The following improvements were made:

  • Added the ebs_suite attribute to the Oracle Application Server SI. This attribute is key in the correct modeling of a specific relationship. This attribute enables the Oracle E-Business Suite pattern to model a relationship with the right Oracle Application Server SI.
  • Removed a few known versions from the Oracle Application Server Pattern because these are now fully supported by the Oracle Internet Application Server Pattern.

2010

TKU August 2010

Enhanced three regular expressions to parse the contents of the readme.txt file correctly.

2012

TKU March 2012

Updated the pattern to report the marketing version as the product version (for example, a full version of 10.1.2 will be reported as version 10g Release 2).

TKU May 2012

Updated product version reporting.

TKU June 2012

The following improvements were made:

  • Improved and simplified path versioning.
  • For the ApplicationServerOC4J pattern:
    • Added the inst_top and oracle_config_home attributes. These attributes are now inherited by an Oracle Application Server Software Instance.
    • The server_name attribute is now unset if oracleas_instance_name has no value.
  • Added code to destroy obsolete Oracle Application Server SIs.

2013

TKU May 2013

The following improvements were made:

  • Updated the Oracle Application Server pattern module patterns to improve identification of very early releases of the product.
  • Improved path versioning.
  • Improved the full-to-marketing version mapping.

TKU August 2013

The following improvements were made:

  • Migrated the Oracle Web Cache and Oracle Process Manager patterns to separate modules (they are components of Oracle Fusion Middleware and their evolution is not tied to the Oracle Application Server).
  • Updated the path versioning mapping table in the Oracle Application Server module.
  • Improved versioning for the OC4J pattern.
  • Changed the relationship between Oracle Application Server OC4J Instance SI and Oracle Process Manager from dependency to management (Oracle Application Server OC4J Instance SI managed by Oracle Process Manager).

2014

TKU February 2014

Updated the path versioning mappings.

2016

TKU June 2016
