Updated the type attributes for the XenServer and XenCenter patterns as follows:

• Citrix XenServer pattern:
  • 'Citrix Xen Enterprise Server' to 'Citrix XenServer Server'
  • 'Xen Enterprise Server' to 'XenSource XenServer Server'
  • 'Xen Enterprise Domain' to 'Citrix XenServer Domain'

• Citrix XenCenter pattern:
  • 'Citrix Xen Center' to 'Citrix XenCenter'

Other improvements are as follows: 

• Changed the vm_type attribute (created when SI for XenServer domain is created) in the Citrix XenServer pattern from 'Xen Domain' to 'XenServer Domain'.
• Modified the consolidation method. A new approach is used, which rectifies a bug in the former Unix trigger and adds support for consolidating Windows guest hosts.

TKU May 2009

Fixed an issue with the /sys/hypervisor/uuid file download which led to a slow discovery scan. The pattern now only attempts to download the file if the xenstored process is running.

The following improvements were made: 

• Updated the Citrix XenServer pattern to support the 5.x version of the product.
• Added file versioning.
• Changed the source of the version used in Domain nodes.
• Removed Communication relationships between XenServer and Domain.

The following improvements were made: 

• The XenServer Domain SIs are now only created if host_uuid is known.
• Added the resident-on=<host_uuid> argument to the xe vm-list active command to ensure that XenServer Domain SIs are now only created if present on the same host as XenServer Server SI.

The following improvements were made: 

• Updated the CitrixXenDomain pattern with the code that reduces the load on XenServer hosts and creates links from slave host to master.
• The pattern now attempts to obtain VMs for those slave hosts where the xe hist-list command is disabled.
