Fortinet FortiManager

Overview

Starting from TKU June 2024 discovery of Fortinet devices managed by Fortinet FortiManager is supported.

Compatibility

All Discovery versions starting from BMC Discovery 21.05 (12.2).

Prerequisites

In order to discover Fortinet devices managed by Fortinet FortiManager the following Discovery credentials are required:

  • SNMP credentials to discover Fortinet FortiManager Network Device

How it works

The pattern Fortinet_FortiManager triggers on Fortinet vendor NetworkDevice node where model name starts with 'FortiManager',

the type is 'Management' and serial attribute set. It then requests additional SNMP table to get information about Fortinet devices managed by

FortiManager software running on the device. Based on this information, pattern creates Software Instance node for FortiManager software,

for each managed devices it try to find candidate from discovered Fortinet network devices or creates new NetworkDevice node otherwise.
