Citrix NetScaler Console
Description
Starting with TKU May 2025, the discovery of Citrix NetScaler Console is supported. NetScaler Console is a centralized management solution that can manage and monitor NetScaler products that include NetScaler MPX, NetScaler VPX, NetScaler SDX, NetScaler CPX, and NetScaler Gateway. Starting with 14.1, 17.x build, NetScaler ADM is rebranded to NetScaler Console. For earlier builds, the product name was NetScaler ADM (Application Delivery Management).
Supported Discovery versions
All Discovery versions starting with BMC Discovery 22.2 (12.5).
Prerequisites
Valid SNMP credentials for the Citrix NetScaler Console appliance (network device) are required to discover the console.
How Citrix NetScaler Console works
The Citrix.NetScaler.Console pattern is triggered by Citrix vendor NetworkDevice nodes with the Management type. The pattern models Citrix NetScaler Console itself as a SoftwareInstance node with the NetScaler Console or Application Delivery Management type, depending on the exact product name. Then, it makes an SNMP query to obtain information about the managed Citrix NetScaler managed devices (LoadBalancer nodes). By using the obtained information, the pattern looks for the target managed devices and creates Management relationships between the NetScaler Console Software Instance and the corresponding managed Citrix Load Balancer devices.
