Product content TKU 2026-Feb-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2026-Feb-1 contains additional product content for the 23.3, 24.1, 24.2, 24.3, and 25.2 versions of BMC Discovery.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

BMC HELIX PLATFORM: Improved the BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM) Kubernetes pattern to correctly retrieve and assign the cluster UUID. For more details, see (DRDC1-28344).
BMC HELIX PLATFORM: Improved the Import.BHOM.PGR_ENVIRONMENT module to support cloud-hosted databases. For more details, see (DRDC1-28072).
BMC HELIX PLATFORM: Updated the BHOM Oracle Database pattern to discover the instances of cloud-hosted databases. For more details, see (DRDC1-28230).

CLOUD/IBM: Added a profile_generation attribute to VirtualMachine nodes in the IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud pattern. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-27735).
CLOUD/IBM: Improved pagination in the IBM.ResourceController.Instance.List API. Changed the value of next_param from next_docid to start. For more details, see (DRDC1-28383).
CLOUD/OCI: Added support for OCI Network Security Groups. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-27090).
CLOUD/OPENSTACK: Added support for NingOS to enable OpenStack H3C discovery through SSH. For more details, see (DRDC1-28343).
DISCOVERY: (Available starting from version 26.1) Added a new REST API provider for discovering mainframe computers. For more details, see the documentationhere and (DRUD1-52421).
STORAGE: Added the Peer-Replication-Peer relationship, enabling Storage System and Storage System Group nodes to be visually represented as connected. For more details, see (DRDC1-27818).
STORAGE/DELL EMC UNITY (REST): Updated the pattern to prevent ECA errors when IP address port information is unspecified. For more details, see (DRDC1-28466).
STORAGE/IBM SPECTRUM CONTROL (REST): Improved IBM Flash System 7300, 9200, and 9500 discovery to correctly populate the actual serial number. For more details, see (DRDC1-28429).
STORAGE/IBM TAPE LIBRARY: Add a total_capacity attribute to the storage system with TS3500 and TS4500 models. For more details, see (DRDC1-28399).

Defects

The following defect is fixed within the scope of this release:

CREDENTIALS: Fixed an issue where VMware Guest Scanning only attempted the first credentials in the list. For more details, see (DRUD1-54804).
NETWORK DEVICES: Fixed an ECA error in the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) pattern caused by incomplete BGP attributes on the IPAddress node. For more details, see (DRDC1-28407).

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2026-Feb-1.

The following taxonomy updates are introduced within the scope of this release:

TAXONOMY/DELL EMC DATA DOMAIN STORAGE SYSTEMS: Added the StorageSystem:ContainedHost:HostContainment:HostContainer:VirtualMachine relationship to link the storage system to the virtual machine that hosts the Data Domain Virtual Edition. For more details, see (DRDC1-27483).
TAXONOMY/NETAPP STORAGE SYSTEMS: Added a link between the storage virtual machine (SVM) and the storage system group. For more details, see (DRDC1-27512).
