Product content TKU 2026-Apr-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2026-Apr-1 contains additional product content for the 23.3, 24.1, 24.2, 24.3, and 25.2 versions of BMC Discovery.

Warning

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release:

  • BMC HELIX PLATFORM: Added support for the following BMC PATROL knowledge modules (for more details, see the documentation here):
    • Application and middleware monitoring: Apache Hadoop (DRDC1-28107), IBM MQ Series (DRDC1-28105), Microsoft Exchange Servers (DRDC1-21464, DRDC1-27689), and Prometheus Metrics (DRDC1-21468).
    • Cloud platform monitoring: Microsoft Azure Application Gateway (DRDC1-28657) and OpenStack (DRDC1-28106).
    • Database monitoring: MongoDB (DRDC1-28609), SAP HANA (DRDC1-28097), Sybase (DRDC1-28102), and Victoria Metrics (DRDC1-27261).
    • Microsoft SQL Server monitoring: MSSQL_SERVER_DB and MSSQL_SERVER_INSTANCE ​​(DRDC1-28666).
    • Operating system monitoring: Oracle Solaris (DRDC1-28103).
    • Storage monitoring: Ceph Storage (DRDC1-28096).
    • Virtualization system monitoring: Nutanix (DRDC1-28109).
  • CLOUD/IBM: Added a new region — Paris, France (par01). For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-28996).
  • CLOUD/IBM: Enhanced IBM Cloud database discovery to capture availability zone and endpoint role information for detected databases. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-27534).
  • CLOUD/OCI: Added new regions — Kulai (ap-kulai-2) and Casablanca (af-casablanca-1). For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-28951).
  • CLOUD/OCI: Enhanced modeling for OCI firewall policies by adding support for the time_created and time_updated attributes. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-28500).
  • CLOUD/OpenStack: Added support for the discovery of OpenStack H3C Cloud Automation System (CAS). For more details, see (DRDC1-23718).
  • DISCOVERY: (Available starting from version 26.1.02) Enhanced OAuth data source configuration to permit the use of external identity providers by allowing the token endpoint parameter to accept absolute URLs. For more details, see (DRUD1-52741).
  • STORAGE: Added support for the discovery of Hitachi VSP 5000 (REST). For more details, see (DRDC1-28727).
  • STORAGE: Added support for the discovery of Hitachi VSP One (REST). For more details, see (DRDC1-28626).
  • STORAGE/Brocade SAN Switches (FOS REST): Updated the pattern to discover the ports configured in Virtual Fabric mode, discover and create relationships with the Devices connected. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-28584).
  • STORAGE/Dell EMC PowerScale and Isilon: Enhanced the pattern to discover and populate capacity-related attributes, including Total Available Capacity, Total Capacity, and Total Consumed Capacity. For more details, see (DRDC1-28797).

Defects

We have no defects to report at this time.

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2026-Apr-1.

Model changes

The following taxonomy update is introduced within the scope of this release:

  • TAXONOMY: Fixed an issue with the issue attribute missing in the UI. For more details, see (DRDC1-28736).
  • TAXONOMY: Fixed an issue with incorrect KiB unit labeling. For more details, see (DRDC1-28810).
