Feature updates
The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release:
- HEADS-UP: CMDB SYNC: Each Namespace is now synced independently to optimize CMDB sync. Earlier, the system memory and performance were loaded due to the bulk mapping of the whole Kubernetes cluster. For more details, see (DRDC1-25098).
- CERTIFICATES: Updated the TLS BMC Helix Discovery to module certificates as a separate node. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-25615, DRDC1-24945).
- CLOUD/AZURE: Added support for RAM info on Azure VMs. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-22834).
- CLOUD/AZURE: Added the following attributes for Azure VMs (for more details, see here and (DRDC1-25899):
- planName
- planProduct
- planPublisher
- vCPUs
- vCPUs per core
- CLOUD/AZURE: Updated the pattern to create a link between the host and Azure cloud VM by using azure_vm_id. For more details, see here and (DRDC1-26139).
- CLOUD/AWS: Added the following attributes to Elastic Pool nodes, which will not override Database attributes with Elastic Pool output. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26144).
- CLOUD/AWS: Updated AWS JSON with SSM inventory API requests. For more details, see (DRDC1-26333).
- CLOUD/OCI: Added support for the discovery of OCI hosts by using OCI Bastion service. To do so, enable the OCI Bastion Sessions feature when you configure a cloud discovery run. For more details, see (DRDC1-22450).
- CMDB SYNC: As part of Certificate updates, corrected how Detail nodes of the Azure App Service Certificate type are synced to BMC CMDB. For more details, see (DRDC1-26096).
- NETWORK DEVICES: Added support for the discovery of Brocade SAN Switches by using the Brocade FOS REST API. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-21137).
- NUTANIX: Extended the Block_Specifications table for the pattern. For more details, see here and (DRDC1-26105).
- PLATFORM SCRIPTS: Added a new platform script to support HPE NonStop infrastructure. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-5305).
- STORAGE: Added a linkage between ESX Hosts and their storage. For more details, see (DRDC1-26115).
- STORAGE: Added support for Huawei OceanStor 9000 REST. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-25776).
- STORAGE/Dell EMC ECS Storage: Updated the pattern to discover and model the ECS Rack as a Hardware Container node and relate it to the EVS nodes that are contained within the rack. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26150).
- STORAGE/NetApp (REST API): Optimized the pattern to run a reduced number of API calls. For more details, see (DRDC1-26033).
Defects
The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release:
- CMDB SYNC: Resolved an issue with Cisco Management Controller not being synced to BMC CMDB. For more details, see (DRDC1-26269).
- LOAD BALANCERS/AWS: Resolved an issue with an excessive number of searches. For more details, see (DRDC1-26199).
- LOAD BALANCERS/AZURE: Resolved an issue with a duplicated cloud_id attribute by adding Protocol and Port. Hence, each node will have a unique cloud_id. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26120).
- NETWORK DEVICES: Resolved an issue with the discovery of CIMCs through the Redfish API. For more details, see (DRDC1-26113).
- OCI/REDIS CLUSTER: Resolved an issue with a duplicated cloud_id attribute. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26119).
- STORAGE/Dell EMC PowerVault MD1200/MD2400 DAS Storage Systems (SSH): Resolved an ECA error due to the white space in the controller name returned by the omreport command. For more details, see (DRDC1-26287).
Changes to discovery commands
Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2025-May-1.
Model changes
Taxonomy is updated for the following:
- TAXONOMY: Added a new node kind, Certificate, that includes a type field. BMC Discovery models a Certificate node by using the following patterns (for more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-25382, DRDC1-25383):
- Amazon Certificate Manager
- F5BigIp LoadBalancer
- Linux Certificates
- SSLDetails
- SSLExtended
- Windows Certificates
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
