Release highlights

In this release, we are delivering:

CMDB sync

  • HEADS-UP: Each Namespace is now synced independently to optimize CMDB sync. Earlier, the system memory and performance were loaded due to the bulk mapping of the whole Kubernetes cluster. For more details, see (DRDC1-25098).

Certificates

  • Added a new node kind, Certificate, that includes a type field. BMC Discovery models a Certificate node by using the following patterns (for more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-25382, DRDC1-25383):
    • Amazon Certificate Manager
    • F5BigIp LoadBalancer
    • Linux Certificates
    • SSLDetails
    • SSLExtended
    • Windows Certificates

Cloud

  • AZURE: We have added support for RAM information on Azure VMs. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-22834).
  • OCI: Added support for the discovery of OCI hosts by using OCI Bastion service. To do so, enable the OCI Bastion Sessions feature when you configure a cloud discovery run. For more information, see (DRDC1-22450).

Network devices

  • Added support for Citrix NetScaler Console (formerly ADM). For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26123).
  • Added support for the discovery of Brocade SAN Switches by using the Brocade FOS REST API. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-21137).

Platform scripts

  • Added a new platform script to support HPE NonStop infrastructure. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-5305).

Storage

  • Added support for Huawei OceanStor 9000 REST. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-25776).

Release compatibility

TKU 2025-May-1 is compatible with the following versions of BMC Discovery: 22.2, 23.1, 23.3, 24.1, 24.2, and 24.3.

Description

Notes

DRUD1-42396

Resolved an issue with the missing synchronization of Cloud Database nodes to ServiceNow CMDB.

HEADS-UP: Starting from TKU May 2025, to ensure seamless synchronization, it is mandatory to make sure the following classes exist and are configured on your ServiceNow instance:

  • For the cmdb_ci class, the Identification rule is set to “Independent” and the Identifier Entry is set to “Name”.

  • Define the Allocated_from__Allocated_to class and add the Allocated from::Allocated to relationship.
For more details, see the documentationhere.

DRUD1-41064

Added the category attribute (AdminCollection or CloudResource type) to the cmdb_ci_resource_group class.

New feature.

DRUD1-48298Added support for the Deployment node sync to ServiceNow CMDB.NA
DRUD1-49612Updated ServiceNow.CloudRegion_cmdb_ci_logical_datacenter to synchronize GCP Regions to cmdb_ci_google_datacenter, and OCI Regions to cmdb_ci_oci_datacenter.NA

DRDC1-24235

Updated ServiceNow.Host_Processor.Host_Processor to properly sync CPU data from BMC Discovery to ServiceNow CMDB.

NA

DRUD1-48101

Updated the pattern to properly synchronize Storage Pools and Storage Volumes to ServiceNow CMDB when they are related to StorageSystemGroup.

NA

DRDC1-22537Fixed an issue with ServiceNow_StoragePool_cmdb_ci_storage_pool.NA
