Feature updates

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release:

• CLOUD: Added the ability to automatically scan private Kubernetes clusters within Amazon Web Services and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure instances. For more details, see the documentation here and here (DRDC1-26858; DRDC1-27363).
• CLOUD: Improved Kubernetes Cluster name assignment to make it consistent for all discovery methods; for more details, see (DRDC1-26993):

• CLOUD/OCI: Added a new region — Madrid, Spain (eu-madrid-3). For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-27937).
• CLOUD/OCI: Added support for the discovery of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26929).
• CMDB SYNC: Updated the CMDB.StorageSystem_Company_Management pattern to correctly sync storage companies' names. For more details, see (DRDC1-27839).
• NETWORK DEVICES: We now model TLS certificates for the AVI Networks Load Balancer as Certificate nodes. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-27823).
• STORAGE: Added support for HPE Alletra MP B10000. For the documentation about how BMC Helix Discovery connects with this storage system, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-27435).
• STORAGE/Hitachi Ops Center Administrator (REST): Updated the pattern to ensure uninterrupted authentication with Hitachi Common Services. For the configuration steps of authentication with Hitachi Ops Center Common Service, see the documentation here. For the list of data detected by BMC Helix Discovery, see the documentation here. • STORAGE/NetApp E-Series: Updated the pattern to attempt SNMP credentials as a fallback mechanism if the REST API scan fails. For more details, see (DRDC1-27702).

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release: 

• CLOUD/GCP: Resolved an issue with the incorrect value of the Google Compute Engine instance ID for cloud-hosted devices. For more details, see (DRDC1-27336).
• CMDB SYNC: Resolved an issue with incorrectly set end-of-support dates. For more details, see (DRDC1-25721).
• CMDB SYNC: Fixed a mapping error in the CMDB.Group_StaticApplication.Group_StaticApplication extension. For more details, see (DRDC1-27778).
• DEEP CONTAINER DISCOVERY: Fixed an issue with missing Docker, containerd SIs, and containers. For more details, see (DRDC1-27762).
• DEEP CONTAINER DISCOVERY: Resolved an issue with the incorrect mapping of Docker Swarm cluster instances. For more details, see (DRUD1-53776).
• DISCOVERY: Resolved an issue with a missing host name on OpenWrt. For more details, see (DRUD1-51100).
• DISCOVERY: Resolved an issue with an inability to set the disaster recovery configuration when Federal Information Processing Standards is enabled. For more details, see (DRUD1-53418).
• DISCOVERY UI: Fixed an issue with the Just Enough Administration link not opening correctly. For more details, see (DRUD1-54020).
• DISCOVERY UI: Fixed an issue with data quality being erroneously displayed. For more details, see (DRUD1-51308).
• DISCOVERY UI: Resolved an issue with tw_dr_discovery --restore command not accepting the default generation ID. Added a loop to retry the scan when the user input is incorrect. For more details, see (DRUD1-53646).
• POWERSHELL: Fixed the runWMIQuery PowerShell script in the ToString() method of the CimInstance. For more details, see (DRUD1-50851).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2025-Dec-1.
