Product content TKU 2025-Aug-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2025-Aug-1 contains additional product content for the 23.1, 23.3, 24.1, 24.2, 24.3, and 25.2 versions of BMC Discovery.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release:

CLOUD/AWS: We now discover sqlserver-web as a software instance while scanning the AWS cloud. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26807).
CLOUD/AWS: Virtual network devices hosted in AWS cloud are now discovered with cloud_id and cloud attributes. For more details, see (DRDC1-25516).
CLOUD/AZURE: Improved linkage between Azure VMScaleSet and Host modelled through the Kubernetes API Provider. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26695).
CLOUD/AZURE: Updated the Microsoft Azure Database patterns to report the cloud_id in a unified format. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26143).
CLOUD/IBM: Replaced the CloudResource node type with StorageVolume for IBM Cloud Object Storage. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-25902).
STORAGE/Hitachi Ops Center Administrator: Updated the pattern to properly discover storage devices. For more details, see (DRDC1-26739).
STORAGE/Huawei OceanStor: Added support for discovering Huawei OceanStor Dorado V700 version. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26782).
STORAGE/IBM SVC and Storwize: Added support for discovering IBM Storwize V7300 and V5200 models. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26780).

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release:

CLOUD/AWS: Resolved an issue with the AWS.S3.ListAccessPoints REST API endpoint in Amazon Simple Storage Service. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26824).
CLOUD/AZURE: For Microsoft Azure App Service Certificate, updated the name of the expiration_date attribute to expiry_date. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26981).
CLOUD/OCI: Resolved an issue with double computing of OCI API Gateway resource units by adding a __resource_unit attribute to SoftwareComponent. For more details, see the documentation here and (DRDC1-26897).
CMDB SYNC: Resolved an issue related to syncing SNMP managed devices from BMC Helix Discovery to BMC Helix CMDB. For more details, see (DRDC1-26940).

Changes to discovery commands
