Pure Storage FlashArray Storage Systems (REST)
Pure Storage FlashArray Storage Systems are discovered using the Purity\\FA REST API. As part of routine discovery, when a Pure Storage FlashArray is encountered, BMC Discovery creates a Storage Device node and triggers the Pure Storage FlashArray (REST) pattern. The pattern continues the discovery ousing further REST API requests. Once discovered, the storage entities are modeled in BMC Discovery.
Prerequisites
- Purity\\FA REST API version 2.4
- A user account with necessary rights to perform a POST request. The POST request is required to obtain the session token and authenticate against the REST API.
- Port 443 added to the list of HTTPS ports under “Administration → Discovery Configuration.
Procedure
Initial setup
- Go to “Manage → Credentials”,
- Add new credentials of type “Pure Storage FlashArray REST API”

- Add port 443
- Click Apply.

- Click the "Action → Test" menu next to the credentials entry
- In the Test URL field, type https://<IP> or <HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/api/{latest_api_version}/arrays where:

- <PORT> with the port (443 by default).
- Click Test.
