NetApp StorageGRID Storage Systems

NetApp StorageGRID systems are discovered using the StorageGRID Management API. When a StorageGRID REST API discovery of an IP address finds a storage entity, 
a Storage Device node representing the system is created. The creation or confirmation of the Storage Device node triggers the NetApp StorageGRID Systems (REST) pattern.
The storage discovery pattern continues the discovery of the storage entity using further StorageGRID REST API requests to discover the associated storage components. 
Once discovered, the storage entities are modeled in BMC Discovery.

Prerequisites

•    Requires BMC Discovery v12.0 and higher.
•    A NetApp StorageGRID Grid Manager user account to access the StorageGRID Management API.

Procedure

  1. Create “NetApp StorageGRID REST API” credentials in BMC Discovery by providing the user account that has access to the StorageGRID Management API.
  2. Directly scan the IP Address of the NetApp StorageGRID Primary Admin Node.

Supported Platform

Any NetApp StorageGRID storage systems model that supports the StorageGRID Management API.
