NetApp SolidFire Storage Systems

NetApp SolidFire storage systems are discovered through the Embedded NetApp SolidFire Element OS API Web Services. Therefore, the storage system can be discovered by scanning the storage device. As part of routine discovery, when the NetApp SolidFire Cluster is encountered, a NetApp SolidFire storage device node is automatically added to the BMC Discovery infrastructure.  Once discovered, the storage entities are modeled in BMC Discovery.

Prerequisites

Embedded NetApp SolidFire Web services, including:

  • Credential Type: RESTful Web API with basic authentication.
  • SolidFire Cluster IP address.
  • Username and password that are used to access the SolidFire Cluster.
