Storage System Information
To get an overview of the storage information discovered for Huawei OceanStor Pacific Storage systems:
- From the Home page, locate the Quick View section and click the Storage System icon to display the list of the discovered storage systems.
- In the Storage System list, double-click the Huawei OceanStor Pacific storage system you wish to access.
The table below lists the System Storage Information as discovered and displayed in the BMC Discovery console.
Storage System Information | Description |
|---|---|
Name | The name of the storage system. |
Type | The type name of the storage system. |
Client Access Types | The ways in which a client host can access the storage that this system is providing. |
Vendor | The storage system vendor. For example, Huawei. |
Model | The model name. |
| Status | The status of the storage system. |
| Status Detail | Additional information about the storage system status. |
| DNS Domain | The Domain Name System (DNS) of the storage system. |
Serial Number | The storage system serial number. |
Total Oversubscribed Capacity | The total space oversubscribed in the storage system in bytes. |
Managed By | The storage device managing the storage system. This is also a link to the Storage Device page for that software. |
Disk Drives | Displays the number of related disk drives. This is also a link to the Disk Drive List page. To see the disk drive page, click the corresponding table row. Refer to the Disk Drives Information section for details. |
| Storage System Group | The name of the Storage System Group related to the storage system. |
| IPv4/IPv6 Addresses | List of IPv4/IPv6 addresses used by the storage system. |
| Network Interfaces | List of the network interfaces related to the storage system. |
Storage Device Information
A Storage device in BMC Discovery represents a Huawei OceanStor 9000 system that has been discovered via REST API. This section provides information about the Storage Device.

This section provides information about the storage system group of the storage system.
To access the collected information for storage system groups, click the Storage System Group link available in the Storage System page.

Name | The name of the storage system group. |
Type | The type of the software instance that manages the storage system. |

| Managed by Storage Device | The storage device managing the storage system group and the host on which it is running. |

This section provides information about the disk drives for the selected storage system.

Name | The name of the disk drive. |
Type | The type of the disk drive. For example SSD. |
Size | The size of the disk drive. |
Vendor | The name of the disk drive vendor. |
Serial Number | The serial number of the disk drive. |
Current State | The current state of the disk drive. For example OK. |
| Number | The number identifying the disk drive in the storage system. |
Storage System | Name of the storage system for this disk drive. This is also a link to the Storage Systems page. |
IP Address Information
This section provides information about the IP addresses used by the storage system.
To access the collected information for the IP addresses, click the IP Address Link of the Storage System page.
The table below lists the IP Address Information as discovered and displayed in the BMC Discovery console.
IP Address Information | Description |

IP Address | The IP address of the storage system node. |
Type | The type of IP address. |
| Netmask | Indicates which part of the IP address is reserved for the network and which part is available for host use. |
| Broadcast Address | The broadcast address within the subnet. |
| Network Interface | The network interface related to the IP address. |
| Link Local | Indicates whether or not the IPv6 address is a link-local address in the network. |
| Site Local | Indicates whether or not the IPv6 address is a site-local address in the network. |
| Prefix Length | The length of the prefix used for the IPv6 address. |
| Storage System | The storage system related to the IP address. This is also a link to the Storage System page. |
| Subnet | The sub-networks for the IP address. |
Network Interface Information
This section provides information about the network interfaces for the selected storage system. To access the collected information for network interfaces, click the Network Interface link available in the Storage Processor page.
