In the Spotlight May 2012


In TKU May 2012 we have developed new pattern modules for certain products and enhanced existing ones. One of such new pattern module in this release is for Symantec Critical System Protection.

The pattern module identifies running software instance of Symantec Critical System Protection Agent on Microsoft Windows and UNIX platforms and models it. In this pattern, version of the product is obtained using the registry and package versioning methods. The pattern also identifies whether Intrusion Protection or Intrusion Detection Agent is running on the target host and accordingly sets additional attributes .(shown in the below image)

Here is an example of modeled software instance of Symantec Critical System Protection Agent generated with this pattern.
