In the Spotlight August 2012

In TKU August 2012 we have made significant number of pattern updates. At the same time some new pattern modules were added to ADDM knowledge base. One of them is the extended discovery pattern for IBM DB2 RDBMS.

In general the pattern creates the following database model:

IBM DB2 Database Server Software Instance when modeled now contains Database Details which support CMDB synchronization. These Details stand for attribute 'databases' which was representing a list of database names in the past.

Each Database Detail among such valuable attributes as: 'name', 'alias', 'instance', 'database location'(physical path of the database) contain Schema Details:

In its turn each Schema has a number of Table Details contained inside. This is a configurable option as number of table nodes might be huge and their modeling can increase the discovery time.
