In the Spotlight August 2010

In the August 2010 TKU we focused our efforts on providing new patterns for Autonomy, IBM, Oracle, Red Hat, Software AG and Symantec products and enhancing existing ones. One such brand new pattern in this release is that for Oracle Business Intelligence.

The pattern module creates Software Instances for the Cluster Controller, Server, Scheduler, Presentation Server and Client on both the Windows and UNIX platforms.

On the UNIX platform, the file versioning method is supported. On Windows, the patterns support the active, file, WMI query and package versioning methods.

It models the Cluster Controller server-client communication with one or more Servers and Schedulers.

It also models the peer-to-peer communication between the Server and the Presentation Server Software Instances.
