In the Spotlight April 2010


In April TKU part of our focus was on extending our coverage of Symantec products.

The most prominent releases for this month are 2 Symantec products, which use Symantec-Management-Platform for their functionality: Symantec-Workflow and Symantec-Inventory-Solution.

We are showcasing these products on this page.

Symantec Management Platform

This is the basis for a whole branch of Symantec products. It used to be called Altiris Management Platform.
 Its main components are used fully in some products, and only partially in the others as described below.

Symantec Inventory Solution

This product uses only Notification Server component.

Symantec Workflow

Another product, which is discovered in this TKU release is Symantec Workflow.

This screenshot displays a Visualization of the Symantec Workflow and Symantec Inventory Solution products and their relations. Unlike Symantec Workflow, which creates Client-to-Server Communication relations with Notification Server, Symantec Inventory Solution is dependent upon Notification Server component.
