In The Spotlight November 2010
In the November 2010 TKU we focused our efforts on providing many new patterns for IBM products together with enhancing existing ones. One such enhanced pattern in this release is that for SAP Business Suite.
Previously, we modelled the ABAP-based SAP Application Server and a second-order SAP Suite Software Instance.
In this new release, we now model the SAP Java Application Server as well. We do this by creating a Software Instance for each of the SAP Java Processes and then create a second-order SAP Java Application Server triggering off the SAP Java Process Dispatcher Software Instance:
Both the ABAP-based SAP Application Servers and the second-order Java Application Servers are then linked into the SAP Suite Software Instance:
The pattern module also has improved versioning methods and a way of getting the trigger process' path and command line arguments from the Windows Registry.
