In The Spotlight March 2011
In TKU March 2011 we have developed a number of new pattern modules for IBM products as well as making significant updates to the SAP and SAP MaxDB patterns.
For the SAP pattern module, a distinction is now made between the two instance types - Central or Dialog - of a SAP Application Server. The SAP Suite pattern now only triggers on a SAP Application Server Software Instance of type Central Instance. In addition, client-server communication links between remote SAP Application Servers of type Dialog Instance with a SAP Application Server of type Central Instance are now established.
In SAP MaxDB, a database kernel instance is now modeled as a database detail node attached to the SAP MaxDB DBM Server Software Instance.
In addition to the new IBM products, we have also added new patterns for SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal and SAP NetWeaver Process Integration. As you can see from the screenshot, these depend upon the SAP Java Application Server Software Instance.
